Teen Choice Awards 2006 – Pictures And Recap

So I just finished watching the Teen Choice Awards 2006 on Fox hosted by Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook. I’m going to highlight the best and the worst of the show (IMO). I hope you got a chance to see Kevin Federline’s disaster of a performance!! It was so worth it!!

Jessica Simpson looked CRAZY when she jumped out of the pirate chest! When they did the first close up of her face I almost fell off my couch!

Dane Cook was a bit too sexual for me in his opening speech. The audience is a bunch of kids and he was talking about getting Jessica Simpson in the hot tub with him and how a box of tissues became his best friend when he was single for a few years. He said a few other things that made me want to slap him – but I can’t remember them. The average age in the audience was probably 10!! Ok, maybe older… but still. He also asked Jessica if there was anybody she’s dated that she wants to talk about on stage (with Nick in the audience) and then Jes said no. I don’t know if that was planned or not. I started squirming in my seat FOR Nick.

Nick Lachey had the BEST speech of the night. When he first came up on stage he said “Awkward!” because Jessica was hosting. I didn’t see Vanessa Minnillo anywhere. Did anybody catch her in the audience?


Mischa Barton was worst dressed female for me. That thing around her neck reminds me of a collar I had to put on my dog when he was sick. Not cool!

Orlando Bloom was worst dressed male AND worst speech. He won Hottest Guy and he said “I didn’t know you knew I sweat a lot. That’s why I got voted hottest guy right?” I swear you could hear the crickets in the audience. The group of little kids didn’t get his joke. AND my husband must have the same stylist as Orlando because he was wearing the same freaking outfit as him.


Brooke Hogan wins WORST SPEECH for a female. She won Best Grill (which I can’t even believe was a freaking category!). Then she went on stage and wouldn’t get off. I think I took the garbage out, did the dishes, and brushed my teeth and she was still going on and on about her fans and her father. YAWN. Best Grill… I just had to say that again. Oh and she had the bling in her teeth too. SIGH!!

Then Jessica Simpson came out with a grill of her own and couldn’t talk. It was insane.

Jessica Alba won Hottest Female and it is well deserved. But what was up with the winter boots? I am ALL about the cooler weather coming. But it’s still really hot out (and in the middle of August). When she gave her speech, she reminded the children that it was what was on the inside that counts.


Then the moment we were alllllll waiting for. Britney Spears comes on stage )with her huge breasts) and introduces the man of her dreams… Mr. Kevin Federline. I was so excited to see his performance, BUT I couldn’t stop looking at how big her pregnancy boobs got!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! The song was wack, he was wack… everything was embarassing. Britney Spears came out to introduce him which was really nice. But he was one hot mess. I can’t wait for it to come out on You Tube tomorrow. I will post it as soon as it does.
