"We are reviewing material right now," Davis told us. And while Houston is not ready to sing solo at the Carousel Ball of Hope in October - she "would accompany me," Davis said - she could make her big comeback at his famed Grammy party next year. "It is too early to say if Whitney is going to perform, but I would hope she would be in the running," Davis added. "She looks radiant and is clearly together." As for rumors that Houston has lost some of her vocal range, Davis said, "She is talking enthusiastically and is articulate. We are going to make a great album. (source)

I have been praying for this woman for a long time and my prayers are getting answered. A lot of people think her voice is gone. I think her voice will be better than ever. She is a child of God, and anything is possible through Jesus Christ who stregthens her. God did not bring Whitney this far to leave her now and I know her come back album will be amazing. Whenever there is a shift in generations and a business cycle comes to an end, there is need for change. Most artists do not realise that critical point...besides what can they do if greedy record companies continue religiously to milk a winning formula when the trends have already moved on.
Music is a business like any other, yet it is fickle like no other. Similar to fashion, sometimes what was once "oh so hot" and en vogue, is simply "so out" this season.....
This happened to our beloved divas at the beginning of this decade. Noone wanted to hear any Whitney, Mariah or Celine songs simply because there was a different "Zeitgeist". The latter is a fancy German expression for what people "feel" at present...politically , socially, and certainly commercially...often very well expressed in popular culture (music).
9/11 and the war on terrorism/ Iraq has numbed us and it seemed inappropriate to listen to big , lush, happy-go-lucky ballads and clever pop songs.
Whitney was on a personal low at the turn of the millennium, so why would she make (good) music?
NOW, we have another turning cycle, politically and socially (I hope) so we are yearning again for arguably one of the best vocalists and singers of our present time: Ms Whitney Houston.
May god bless her, strengthen her and enable her to pull off a "kick ass" comeback just like if not grander than the one of Ms Mariah Carey.
May she reign! May Whitney, the UEBER DIVA long reign over all those RnB wannabees.

she has just become soooooo freakin sad with all these come backs....her last album was cry worthy....voice or no voice the material was just ****....like boreing to death...and i used to love her back in the day....shame on you whitney....just retire...find yourself a new hubby and move to south dakota or something...just go
I am pleased for whitney she has been through some real tough times and I personally cant wait for the new album I am so pleased she has decided to go another round she has an amazing voice. i wish her the best of luck and i know i will be buying the album and singles when they are realesed I love her. Do it girl show the world you are better than them x x

Thank God for Whitney now she has finally broken free from Bobby. My only advise to her is that she should return to her first love who is the Lord Jesus Christ who kept her through everything she has gone through.
May the good Lord continue to guide and strengthen her as she defies life.
iam so happy for whitney. she is a strong blk women. god puts us through certain thing in life to strength our faith in him stay strong my sister , i know what your going through been there done that 15 year clean. if he did it for me he will do it for.
