National Security Agency Is Looking For Lost and CSI Fans To Work For Them
Actually, this heading sounds like a joke... but it isn't. The National Security Agency has decided to run commercials during CSI and Lost to attract those viewers who wish they could use their powers for good instead of figuring out what the Dharma Initiative really is.
The super-secret spy agency launched its first television recruitment campaign during local airings of the fall premieres of Lost and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in a drive to reach a new pool of potential recruits in the Baltimore-Washington area. "It was the demographic we were looking for," said NSA spokesman Donny Weber, who said the commercial was aimed at college students and professionals in the region's high-tech corridor, where competition for the best and the brightest is fierce. The commercial says:
"The world is a dangerous place. Every day, we are faced with new threats to our nation's security." Troops in the desert inspect a vehicle that has just burst into flames. "Our adversaries do their best to keep their plans a secret. At the National Security Agency, we uncover those secrets, and keep our own secrets safe,"
