Josh Holloway To Be In X-Men Movie?
Josh Holloway is rumored to have landed the role of Gambit in the next X-Men movie. I don't what I would do with myself. It's like my two favorite empires combining! His power you ask? Gambit can charge objects with energy, causing them to explode... like my heart. I also found out that X-Men: The Last Stand will not include Hugh Jackman, Sir Ian McKellen and Halle Berry. What is up with that?
Lost star Josh Holloway is being tipped to star in the next X-Men movie as fan favorite Gambit. Holloway, who plays Sawyer on the hit TV show, was set to star as Gambit in X-Men: The Last Stand but pulled out because of TV commitments. But it's reported the model/actor will star in the next installment, which will not feature many of the film's original stars, including Hugh Jackman, Sir Ian McKellen and Halle Berry. The film's producer Lauren Shuler Donner tells Moviehole, "Remember in Lost? There was a guy in there that was the perfect Gambit, the guy with the straight hair, good-looking, the bad boy... Sawyer. The reason we didn't use Gambit was because in a sense his persona is a bit like Wolverine in that he's got attitude and his power is not quite as exciting as the others. That's why we went to Nightcrawler on 2 because he looked different than everybody else and he had a great power. So yes, I think we would weave Gambit within our story, (but) it wouldn't be The Gambit Movie." Gambit possesses the ability to charge objects with energy, causing them to explode. (source)

No need to worry. lol. This guy ain't gonna be Gambit. Last I check, Taylor Kitsch is going to play Gambit. I pegged the actor of choice to be a bit older.....buuuuut Hollywood likes to play around with things. so yeah. I like the casting choice of Taylor though, he's sexy and has body karate, just like Gambit...so atleast they did domething right. XDD

He would make a great gambit....Well anna P shouldnt have been rouge in the first place.. shes to young and very unattractive for the roll of the southern belle. I dont know if you guys have been down to the south but girls dont look like her..she looks likes shes from long island.....if they would have choose a better character for rouge we wouldnt be having these problems casting gambit.,
i think that holloway could be Gambit. only if he could actually sound like him. the they could put in a much older person (much fuller) for rogue and leave anna paquin alone for a change.

i think that josh would make a perfect gambit but all u anna haters suck she is a good rogue, even though she looks a little young she is a good actor, i just wish they would have rouge with ms. marvels power, i agree with lilly when she says

Why is it that just cause the director or producer I dont know which of the two didnt like Gambit and thats fine but what makes me mad is how he tries to make it sound like he's the majority which in fact is not true ..
Out of all the research I've done I've found out more people like Gambit then not, plus as to the comment about his powers not being that exciting. he can make anything eplode by touching it .
He even destroyed the whole planet in one comic and and had to bind half his power cause he was the strongest mutant alive, he also has a charm power which makes women fall in love with him, and he has that bo ( Staff) and martial art moves.
The Producer should have said you know what? I don't like him instead of making him sound weak and boring..
In more then one issue of the comic Gambit beats Wolverine ( which Is my second favorite character so dont think Im a Wolverine basher ) so again this should have been the explanation as to why they didnt use him and thats why they F'ed up the story line with Rouge and everything eles, instead of trying to make people think Gambit isnt cool, I think someone should make a movie JUST about Gambit....
Oh and FYI if there is some troll out there that is going to yell about my post and try to correct me and just do what every 12 year old with a PC does, don't bother cause I won't return to read what any replys are..but if someone says something to the fact that they agree with me well then thank you in advance =P
