Updating Site - Please Be Patient

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 10:12 pm

I am working on my new design and am having an issue with a few things. I will be back shortly. My designer is en route and cannot help with the problems until she makes it to her family’s house. Let’s just hope she checks her emails.

:)

UPDATE ON THE UPDATE: Ok so it looks like we are in the clear. The comments will get imported after the Holiday. YEAH! I want to give a huge, big, wild, tremendous shout out to Lisa from eWebscapes!!!

Brooke Shields: Inspirational Woman Of The Day

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 4:29 pm

Brooke Christina Shields
Born: May 31, 1965
Birthplace: New York, NY

No matter what your thoughts and feelings are about postpartum depression and how you should treat it, you have to respect Brooke Sheilds. She shared a very personal experience with the word. In 2002 she became pregnant after the trials and tribulations of in-vitro fertilization and sadly a miscarriage. Three weeks before she gave birth she lost her father with whom she was very close. After giving birth she battled postpartum depression and even contemplated suicide. She is an inspiration because she shared her darkest moments in hopes that she might be able to help other women.

“I hope this will help new moms not feel alone or desperate, and that there is no shame in their feelings. Postpartum depression is out of their
control, but the treatment and healing process is not.”

Thanks Hera!

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 4:22 pm

I know a lot of you are going to go away for the long weekend. So I wanted to catch you nice and early and say Happy Thanksgiving! And if you are from a country that doesn’t celebrate turkey day — Happy Thursday!

PS - The Ripa / Aiken poll I put up this afternoon is a landslide! 86.8% of you think that Kelly Ripa did NOT make a homophobic remark. To vote, click here.

Tori Spelling At The American Music Awards

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 11:14 am

Tori Spelling is on a pregnancy pass. So I won’t comment on the dress she wore to the American Music Awards. :) She looks very healthy and happy. We can all say that. It is just such a shame that her father missed the chance to meet his grandchild.

Kelly Ripa Vs. Rosie O’Donnell - The She Said / She Said Continues…

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 10:58 am

Kelly Ripa phoned into The View to defend herself as Rosie O’Donnell was bashing the way Kelly reacted to Clay Aiken covering her mouth on the set of her morning show. Ready for some she said / she said?

Rosie said: “To me, that’s a homophobic remark. If that was a straight man, if that was a cute man, if that was a guy who she didn’t question his sexuality, she would have said a different thing.”

Kelly said: “He reached across and covered my mouth with his hand. I have three kids; he’s shaking hands with everybody in the audience. I mean, it’s cold and flu season; that’s what I meant. And to imply that it’s anything homophobic is outrageous, Rosie, and you know better.”

Rosie said: “Kell, I get your point. I’ve been a supporter of yours from day one. This is a show where you say your view; as a gay woman, this was my view.”

Watch the video here!

In other news, it has already become something to make fun on. Clay Aiken and Tori Spelling spoofed the incident on the American Music Awards last night.

——————– POLL TIME ————————–

So what do you think? Watch the video. It shows what Clay did. Was Kelly saying something about Clay’s sexuality? Keep in mind, Clay has never said he was gay.

Was Kelly Ripa’s statment homophobic?
