I haven't seen the movie yet. But I am definitely interested in the plot (and when I say plot, I mean Katie Holmes' sex scene - no I'm just kidding!) NBC was so taken by Thank You For Smoking that they have asked Rick Cleveland (think Six Feet Under) to write and produce a network version of the movie. The series will begin where the movie left off.

Rick Cleveland will be writing and producing the show, who has previously been a producer and writer for Six Feet Under and The West Wing. According to Variety, the TV show will be a single camera comedy that picks up where the film left off. (source)
