Chad Lowe Opens Up About Hilary Swank... Opening Up
Chad Lowe was interviewed by Extra TV and admitted that he was shocked when Hilary Swank told the public the real reason the two divorced. Hilary told Vanity Fair magazine that Chad's substance abuse was the main cause for the split. Here is what he said:
"It has been a tough year and not something I expected. It's very humbling.
"I was disappointed that the details of our relationship became public. They were absolutely true, absolutely true. I've been sober for three and a half years and very grateful for that."
"She was the love of my life and that's not something you just shut off. I will always love her. I am so grateful to Hilary for her support of me in a very difficult time in my life three and a half years ago. What hurt me more than anything is that people would think that she wasn't there for me and she was."
Does anyone know what substance he was abusing?
I have to say that he so much a better person then his ex-wife. He has not once said a bad word about her, unlike her. I really hope he hits it big, because he is such a good actor.

He was addicted to cocaine, I believe.
darkstar, he said he overcame his addiction 3 and a half years ago. But then they eventually broke up after that.
He appears to be a very gracious man. You can feel the heart break of her betrayal. He was obviously way too good for her.
