Benji Madden wanted to take some of the spotlight away from his brother Joel for once. He proposed to Sophie Monk and she said yes on Christmas Eve! The event took place in Australia with a Neil Lane diamond ring. Congrats!

“Benji proposed to Sophie in Australia on Christmas Eve with a Neil Lane diamond ring,” says Monk’s publicist, Kacey Spies. “They are very excited and enjoying this time with family and friends.” (source)

What to believe?!! Star Magazine is reporting that Justin Timberlake told some friends that he and Cameron Diaz are over.  ‘We’re done. It’s over!’ to be exact.  The tabloid is reporting that they spent the Christmas holiday apart and with good reason. No word yet from either celebrities rep.

Later that night, sources say, the pair went to Senses nightclub, where they met up with friends. “The group stayed in a private room at the club and had a great times.” And it was there, as Justin partied at Senses, a source recalls, that he went public about his split with Cameron. “Around 2 a.m. he was with a dozen friends in the VIP room when he was asked where Cameron was,” a source says. “Justin said, ‘We’re done. It’s over!’ He didn’t seem at all unhappy.” (source)

It would have been so great if we could have seen Hilary Duff coming out of that South Beach club with her arm wrapped around a new guy. It has to hurt a little to see Joel sucking face with Nicole. Hilary isn’t the type to jump into a new relationship right away anyway (like I freaking know her right!?). At least she has a smile on her face.
