I dont get this "no fur" thing .. I mean peolpe eat animals and wear leather shoes, and thats not really an issue.. ? But as soon as fur is used for luxurious (and fancy) stuff... hmmm I call it double standards ;-)

More and more designers are choosing to use synthetics instead of killing animals for their fur because it is the right thing to do!!!

I just want to say that I also condem her wearing fur and I do not eat meat, so there is no double standard here. Once, in the 19th Century, there was a black man exhibited in a cage at the Bronx zoo - people though it was fine since he was black and clearly less than the whites staring at him through the glass. Someday I pray that wearing animals when we could wear something else will seem just as sick as that does to us now.
I see ur points guys.. But I am from Greenland -- the big white thing east of Canada! In Greenland we hunt and eat seals, and well we use everything from the animal : Eat the meat and wear the fur. And I dont see whats wrong with that, we have being doing that for thounsands of years. What I think is WRONG is stuffing animals into small cages and feed them all kinds of hormones and pills. These animals suffer from they born until they are killed, while seals life a free and natural life .. and SOME of them a killed... I saw this horrible thing from the states from a turkey-farm/slaughter house .. its was around thanksgiving, and the guys working there were tormenting the poor animals! See THATS bad, think people should feel more guilty eating turket than wearing sealfur.
Well guess its just a clash of cultures here :-)

I think that this is wrong animals are living things and they should not be killed for a bunch of rich people how would you like it if someone came up to you and held you by the neck and just started to peal your skin for a jacket cuz that is wat they are doing that is just like what ashley doing. i think that it is just WRONGE
at present i am writing an essay on the use of fur for fashion. judging by the lack of information i can find on the positive points of using fur for fashion i would say that it is wrong for the human race to kill animals for our own pleasure but i can see where people are coming from when they say that there is no difference in killing an animal for fur. i feel that if you are killing an animal for its meat then you might aswell make use of the excess fur. x aged 15
