Anne Hathaway Battled Depression

I have to believe that a majority of struggling actresses go through something very similar to what Anne Hathaway did while she was in her teens. Acting can be very rewarding. BUT you have to go through a lot of rejection first. I wouldn't be able to handle that much disappointment. Anne's mother wanted her to take medication to help ease the depression. But she insisted on battling it on her own.

"I said to Mom the other day, 'Do you remember that girl? She has now gone, gone to sleep. She has said her piece and she is gone,' " Hathaway, 24, tells Britain's Tatler magazine. "But then I thought, 'I so remember her, only she is no longer part of me.' "
She continues, "I am sorry she was hurting for so long. It's all so negatively narcissistic to be so consumed with self." (source)
