Guess who is filming an Independent movie in Nashville? Yuppers! Mariah Carey is working on a film called Tennessee. At least she plays a singer so it won't be too much of a stretch for her. Hey, maybe she will win an Oscar.
She was filming the independent film Tennessee with Lance Reddick, Ethan Peck and Adam Rothenberg. She plays a waitress and aspiring country singer who flees her controlling husband to join two brothers on their journey from New Mexico to Tennessee to find their estranged father. (source)
