A Mother's Worst Nightmare

Here comes the Sunday morning drama! Angelina Jolie's newly adopted son's mother might be in the market for a little bribery money. It seems that the grandparents signed over custody of Pax Thien. Once their daughter found out how rich Angelina was, she began to see dollar signs (oh wait - what signs would it be for Vietnam?) Here is more:

The mother of the latest child adopted by Angelina Jolie is a money-hungry heroin addict who NEVER signed the papers to give up her son. Now the thieving, drug-addled woman - ” who abandoned her baby two days after giving birth - ” is likely to hound the Hollywood star and lover Brad Pitt for cash.And unmarried Vietnamese pauper Pham Thu Dung, 29, may even demand they give the boy BACK.

But there is more! The grandparents are speaking up about the situation too! They are forewarning everyone of their daughter's motives (or planting ideas in her head).

"When she finds out that a rich movie star has adopted her baby, she WILL go after Angelina Jolie for money and make trouble for her. She may even try to take the child back." And granny Nhan, 51, added: "We are delighted he has gone to such a wonderful home. But my daughter is very smart - ” and she is also very stubborn, wayward and difficult."

I hope this doesn't happen. I was just talking to my alarm guy yesterday and he said that he had to give his adopted baby back after having him for 3 weeks. It was devastating. But US rules gives the maternal parent the right to change their mind and she did. I can't imagine how terrible that must feel.

Hey to say I told you so....and I know what it feels like to lose a child my sister in law went through that with her adopted baby and well its not a nice feeling but she judged Madonna and now look what happens...I am telling you Karma is very bad but its a reminder to just keep your mouth shut...

@kat - I hear that. didnt she say something about how she would never adopt a child who wasnt a real orphan?

I think it [how she has adopted] makes a mockery out of the whole system really, its not fair on the countless number of people who have been trying for years to adopt.

One more thing, someone said that he isnt a real orphan? uhm him living in a orphanage kinda makes him an orphan. Yeah he has grandparents and his mom is alive (barely) but that doesnt mean he isnt an orphan. How many drug addict parents are there in the states who lose their children because of it? Plenty. So that would mean that they have families and shouldnt be adopted. He has family that isnt able to care for him so that puts him in the same category as any other child. He deserves a good home no matter what circumstances arise.

Well even the law here in the state allows the mom of the adopted child even if a drug addict to plead her case and take it to the court the court will then say if she is suitable if she isnt then she they allow her reasonable time to go into a drug rehab program. SO even here they give the mother a chance even AFTER she gives up her rights. BUT each state, judge and court is different. And he isnt an orphan because both of his parents are not dead. (Which is the real definition of orphan)

Shannon if you dont remember question were asked when Baby Z was adopted also because her mother was still alive as well. It was rumored that she got paid off to stay quiet. BUT the truth was never really known. So believe me such things are not overlooked.

He was obviously available for adoption because know one else was able to care for him. This by all means wasnt a rushed adoption. Angelina went to Vietname back on thanksgiving and began the steps than. I dont think because of her status it was rushed and if it was dont you think she wouldve had him way back than?And yes parents are sometimes given the oppurtunity to try and change their ways and regain custody of their child but he is 3 an half yrs old, where was she 2 yrs ago or even a yr ago? Its not fair for any child to live in an orphanage and if he has a chance at a decent life leave him alone to be happy. Im sure the adoption agency looked at all aspects of this and made everything iron clad before actually having him adopted out.
