Why has the formula for reality television somehow grew to include a British judge? Have you noticed that every popular reality show we have currently running on our networks consists of a person with an English accent? Perhaps it's because our shows are all remakes of the overseas originals.
Sharon Osbourne will replace
Brandy on
America's Got Talent while she faces
vehicular manslaughter charge after reportedly causing a fatal post-Christmas car crash. And for the four of you that watched the show, Regis will not be hosting this season. Instead, Jerry Springer is taking his place.
As an avid follower of this blog and an England resident, I was wondering whether you thought that the addition of a few English accents to some of your shows was a bad thing? As a nation we just click with you guys across the pond and I get the impression a lot of you like our accent, hence why I think maybe a few of us Englanders have popped up.
p.s. I like how you said English accent and not British, because the fact the people from England always end up being British and not English annoys me.
Love the blog!
p.s. Sorry for the invasion ;)
