Tom Cruise / Katie Holmes Split - The Press Has Their Fingers Crossed
It seems that every story that comes out revolving around Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise is painting their relationship in a negative light. The National Enquirer is reporting that the couple started getting counseling at the Church of Scientology. Supposedly, Tom was looking to have Katie be more of a stay at home mom and is upset about her going back to work.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes may try to resolve their differences by meeting with a counselor at the Church of Scientology, insiders say. Katie is filming "Mad Money" in Shreveport, La., but instead of going solo, Tom flew there to help look after their daughter, Suri. Tom even brought his Mom, Mary Lee, along.
"This is the biggest test of their relationship so far," continued the source. "It's been a tough last few months for them. Tom wants more kids as soon as possible. But as much as Katie loves being a mom, she's enjoying working again."
Counseling is a normal part of today's marital unit. It really isn't very newsworthy right? Well, check out the details of what it means to get counseling from The Church of Scientology:
According to Dr. Stephen Kent, "Scientology does not accept any other form of marriage counseling. They believe that marriage problems are all a matter of a breakdown in communication and the way to improve a marriage is to undergo sessions with a Scientology counselor using an E-met." The E-meter is a form of a lie detector test that's supposed to register thought patterns. The source insisted, "Katie will do whatever it takes to keep the marriage stable. So she'll be open to Scientology counseling sessions."
Lie detector tests? That sounds like a safe place to me.
MSNBC is reporting that Katie is secretly trying to reclaim her old life including her faith. In addition to reaching out to old friends and family, Katie is contacting local pastors trying to figure out a way to get Suri enrolled in "kiddie Catholicism" classes.
The mag reports that Holmes is reconnecting with family and friends and even secretly talking to Catholic priests. Holmes was raised a Catholic, but since her marriage, has embraced Scientology, her husband's religion. The actress hasn't been to church lately, but is "secretly talking to pastors" for advice, and wants to enroll Suri in "kiddie Catholicism" classes, according to L&S.

I hope that this is true, I think Katie is too young to be tied down to a control freak like Tom. I only hope shes allowed to be a part of her daughters life if she leaves. Look what happened with Nicole. He dictates when she can see her two kids.
Funny thing is that the tabloids also put Brangelins under a negative light every time, but nobody seems to care about it.
I was surprised she would give up Jesus for Tom in the first place. Scientology is about being your own god. Worship of ones self. The only way to heaven is threw Jesus Christ so now that she has a little baby she might be thinking about that. Like what am I teaching my daughter?

Hellooo, isn't it obvious that tom cruise is like the biggest control FREAK ever. And for katie holmes to put up with that. What is that girl thinking of marrying someone like him and ruining her life. Katie only has herself to blame to acting so lovestruck when it like so clear to the world that he is a nutcase and is really embarrassing!!

Tom shouldnt even be thinking about having a stayhome mom! hasnt he noticed that the world is moving towards equality in gender? Katie is already a grown woman, and tom is merely treating her like a kid. She doesnt need restrictions, no one does. i think tom needs to get a taste of his own medicine.
