Richie Sambora's Father Dies Of Cancer

Richie Sambora's father has passed away from cancer. He was 70 years old.

Star had reported that while Sambora was in England on June 13, preparing for the final concert of Bon Jovi's European tour, his mom Joan called - ” and the news wasn't good. Adam, a moderate cigarette smoker, had gone to the doctor complaining of chest pains and was diagnosed with early stage lung cancer. "It hit Richie so hard," a source close to the Sambora family said at the time.

richie i so sorry to hear about ur dad my heart goes to u and ava i lost my gradparents to lung cancer its times like this friends family and fans mean the world more so then ever pls take care of ur self

i just want to say that my heart goes out to u richie, i lost my grandfather to cancer ,words cant describe the agony of losing someone so close to you.but every day that goes by just makes me want him back,and as every year that passes there will always be one light burning for him and i will do the same for ur father.my love to u and ava

Your tribute to your father with the benefit concert Stand Up For A Cure 2008 on February 12th is a great honor to him and gift to those battling Lung Cancer! You are an inspiration and your father must have been a great man to have raised such a conscious raising member of society!
