Us Weekly recapped an interview Cameron Diaz did with Movies.com where she talked about how the last few years of her life have been a living HELL! And I completely understand what she is talking about. Isolated from friends and family, living on the streets, loss of loved ones, one health crisis after another… Who wouldn’t make a statement like that after going through all those trials and tribulations? Here is more:

On being in hell:
“The last couple of years were hell. Like, I can’t even tell you, it was so hard. I didn’t know how to handle it. But I think I’m in a much better place now, because I stepped away for a second and took a breath. Hollywood is a funny place. It offers so much, but it can also take a lot away from you.”

On pretty prejudice:
“If a woman who’s a successful actress weighs 300 pounds and has warts, nobody ever asks her, ‘Do you think you made it because you’re ugly?’ So why should there be prejudice against someone who’s had some success in films and looks a little better than average. It’s all in my genes, so don’t hold it against me.”
On her trips to Hawaii:
“I was just there doing a lot of surfing. I love it. It’s definitely a spiritual experience, the closest you can get to Mother Nature, which is God to me. You get to ride all this energy that’s traveled across the ocean for thousands of miles, and you get to usher this distant traveler to its destination on the shore.”

I have a feeling Anna Paquin had a really early flight. She was spotted holding onto to some Starbucks coffee attempting to make her way to her gate without being noticed. I guess LAX was the place to be yesterday because Jennifer Love Hewitt was also spotted there the same day. Click here to see a picture of her. She also has no makeup on.

I’m confused. I thought Angelina Jolie getting pregnant was by accident. I didn’t realize that it was a decision that was thought through. I checked my archives and don’t have anything from her talking about how it all happened. If anyone has any old quotes from Angie about getting pregnant, email them to me. I am curious to reread them.

UPDATE: Thanks Brandi! She did say it wasn’t planned. But it could be interpreted a few different ways. It could just mean Angelina never thought she would WANT a child. Either way, Shiloh is beautiful and the family is happy. Click here to read it.

Angelina sat down with Reader’s Digest and talked about Brad Pitt, the moment she gave into having her own biological child and the hope to have many, many more.
On realizing she wants biological children:

“Before I met Brad, I always said I was happy never to have a child biologically. He told me he hadn’t given up that thought. Then, a few months after Z came home, I saw Brad with her and Mad, and I realized how much he loved him, that a biological child would not in any way be a threat. So I said, ‘I want to try.’ “

On how she went from single mom of one to part of a family of six in just three years:

“I met this amazing person, and we realized we had very similar views on how we wanted to live our lives. It’s happened quickly, with so many children. Yesterday, picking up the kids from school, Brad turned around in the car, and there were three of them. He couldn’t stop laughing.”

On deciding to adopt a toddler from Vietman:

“As kids get older, it’s harder for them to be adopted. … Something changed for me with Shiloh. We had Mad and Z, and neither looked like Mommy or Daddy. Then suddenly somebody in the house looked like Mommy and Daddy. It became clear to us that it might be important to have somebody around who is similar to the other children so they have a connection. Mad’s very excited that his brother is from Asia.”

On her wanting more children:

Everyone on a diet should be able to write up a little note to the outside world asking them to kindly participate in their diet plan. Imagine not having any temptations around you while you are trying to shed a few pounds? I LOVE IT. While in Denmark, Beyonce made sure that she let people know what she wanted around her using her concert rider. Here is what she had to say about food:

Beyonce could have put anything on her rider at a gig in Denmark but her strict diet means she had to order: “Boston Market rotary chicken, garlic steamed broccoli, steamed spinach, green beans, fresh fruit, sugar-free jello and Pepsi products only.”

Special notes included: “Do not, under any circumstances, place candy, chocolate or crisps in the room. Dressing room shall be 78°F/25°C at all times.”

Whatever works! Or you can just enter this week’s contest and hid the flub a different way.
