Kelly Clarkson Feeling Pressure From Studio To Lose Weight

Studio and label reps think that Kelly Clarkson should lose some weight. I find that interesting considering the general public has accepted Kelly as is. Her numbers have never been affected by her physical appearance. But a source close to Kelly is saying that the singer is starting to cave in on her weight "issue" and is trying to lose 25 pounds. She has become depressed over her size and wants to shape up before her summer tour.

"She feels pressure from her label, her handlers, and her friends to lose weight. She's always moaning about how she can't find a boyfriend and she blames this dry spell on her weight."
Additionally, executives at Kelly's label were not the happiest with the songs she wrote and produced herself. Kelly might feel better about herself if she tackled her body the way she approaches her career with consistent hard work.
"Sometimes she's in the studio for 14 hours and the only food she eats is fast food, potato chips, and candy bars." Kelly drinks a lot of soda, and hates working out. Those close to Kelly, say the real problem is her low self-esteem. "The way Kelly looks and feels now, Kelly isn't going to let a man love her, [which is what she may need] to get off this negative merry-go-round."

I think she looks fine! Why will they not leave her alone...when she ends up looking like Nicole Richie then all people will talk about is how skinny she is.
Why do people think that losing weight = looking like Nicole Richie? Who said anyone has to look deathly thin? Yes, Kelly Clarkson needs to lose weight, but she can lose weight and still look healthy. Look at Gwen Stefani, Madonna and Nelly Furtado. They are all thin and gorgeous, but not skeletal.
I have a strict no fat chick policy, she should take their advice and lose weight.

I feel sorry for Kelly--that everyone PICKS on her re: weight. She just needs a GOOD stylist and NUTRITIONIST. She certainly COULD snack better. A healthy lifestyle is a CHOICE :)

When I hear about weight, these record producers, managers tell their clients to lose weight, I picture some fatass sitting behind his desk barking out orders about looks not being hot enough, lose weight, changing hair color etc, do they ever look in f***g mirror????
My goodness - if the girl wants to "tone up before her tour" then let her - but the "executives" have got to get it into THEIR heads that this weight-obsessing is what is driving so many of their artists down dangerous paths. If Kelly is 200lbs and can sell hits - so be it. She is under enough pressure with her music and "making hits" - let her do what she wants with her body, and let her be what she wants as a person. No one would complain if she was a 250lb African-American with hamhock thighs and ample ass.
Totally retarded. The girl is my size and healthy. Nicole Richie is a twig and can barely walk without toppling over for want of a meal. These people who say she needs to loose weight need to shut up. Be real folks. Her popularity is not based upon her jean size but on her talent as a musician. Since when is music about body fat?

I find it hard to believe that Kelly Clarkson, heavy or not, is having trouble finding a boyfriend. If that is the case, where have to been all my life!? I would give anything to be with such a beautiful person such as her.

An ideal looking male like Cruis, Will Smith (my fave) or such, wit a perfect personality & everything. Any girl who weighs 200+ lb's is fat. That picture alone shows she has gained weight from her previous year... Why do girls feel the need to defend *fatish* chicks. No she may not be disgustingly fat yet, but she is overweight. Most chicks are. My girlfriend & soon to be wife is only 140 & 5'8". Perfect proportions. But if she ever got over like 150 i'd start harassing her about it. Being a healthy, good looking weight is extremely important & it sux but I like that weight just before its considered fat; which means the chicks i have dated & will always date sit right on the borderline of perfection & boyfriend shopping :P. As for her producers... ARE THEY CELEBRITIES BEING PUBLICLY VIEWED?!? no.. BUT since she was not smart & didnt make her own name & label like LUDACRIS they own her ass & will dump her just as fast if she doesn't bark when they say. Stop defending her; celebrities must be perfection.. end of story. Notice (btw) that like 90% of the defensive posts are from what i would assume are girls :P. ok, let me tell you, you're an a$s. I am 5'8" and I was 135 until I was 21. Then I went up to 140 at age 23. Now I am 150 and I am 27. I look good, and I am serious about that. I have a body that turns heads, curves in the right places, and not fat at all. I am proud of looking great at 27, haven't gotten fat and kept my looks. Before I may have thought that 150 would look fat in my mind but what you are forgetting is that we are 5'8", so 150 on our frame is actually smaller in proportion as compared to a 5'2" 120 lb. woman, which most people would say is small. I wear a size 8, thats not fat on someone whos 5'8"! You need to get over the weight thing. I hope your gf gains 10 pounds so you have to accept it. You don't deserve her. You have no right to get on her about anything, you don't own her, jerkface.

I'm female and I have to agree with you. She looks like she had put on some serious weight and quite frankly it was no becoming on her. She is not tall and can't carry the extra lbs. I think she looked amazing back two years ago and she wasn't a twig. The extra weight looks terrible on her. Hey if I were making the kind of $$ she is - I would lose the darn weight. Small price to pay for ALL that money and what the money can buy.

You would think that fat chicks of all people could A)see the fat on themselves and B) on others. But somehow through their fatness they become blind to it. My wife can spot the slightest thing wrong with me but if a friend of her's gains 30 pounds and I say something she get's all defensive of her fatass friend.
As for the girl charting her ages and weight, keep that trend up and in about 20 years they'll be rolling your fat ass onto a flat bed to take you to Denny's so you can stuff your face some more.
I have never been a big fan of Kelly Clarkson but admire her willingness to stick up for what she believes in. I respect her for standing her ground on the "Give Back" tour.
As for the weight thing, if she is downing 8 sodas in an afternoon and lives on candy bars and fastfood she will continue to gain weight, no doubt about it. And just as "Nicole" and others have issues regarding weight, so does she. There are reasons people keep themselves "insulated"... She has an opportunity to be a good role model and show that women don't have to be a size -2... but being unhealthy and setting herself up for heart disease, diabetes, and other illnesses is not the way to do it.
Alright, I don't care what ANYONE says about Kelly. She is an actual NORMAL human being and is a role model for America! She is actually not anerexic as hell, which makes teens who look up to her not go bullemic or anerexic. She is also not obeise like some people in America. She is average. AVERAGE IS THE BEST WAY TO BE !!!!! Go Kelly!!<3333 I LOVE YOU !
I heard she went to a Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery institute to get her nose done.
