Daniel Craig Promoting His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass

Daniel Craig sported a rugged beard on the Cannes red carpet while promoting His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass. Nicole Kidman and Eva Green co-star with Daniel in this film. It sounds interesting enough. But what's up with the beard? Do you like your men clean shaved like I do?
It was no ordinary life for a young girl: living among scholars in the hallowed halls of Jordan College and tearing unsupervised through Oxford's motley streets on mad quests for adventure. But Lyra's greatest adventure would begin closer to home, the day she heard hushed talk of an extraordinary particle. Microscopic in size, the magical dust- found only in the vast Artic expanse of the North -was rumored to possess profound properties that could unite whole universes. But there were those who feared the particle and would stop at nothing to destroy it. Catapultedinto the heart of a terrible struggle, Lyra was forced to seek aid from clans, gyptians, and formidable armored bears. And as she journeyed into unbelievable danger, she had not the faintest clue that she alone was destined to win, or to lose, this more-than-mortal battle.

He is not exactly handsome, but boy...he is so charming and manly...And I just loved him as Bond. Although I also fell in love with the villain in the film (Mads Mikkelsen).

But jbunny, they are taking it back to the begining so he wouldnt be so suave and sophisticated just yet.

No one will ever play Bond as well as Sean Connery anyway...........

I agree with ELH about the fact Bond is still a thug because this is the film based on Ian Flemming´s first book. So he will evolve to the charming smooth agent we all know in the next films, I am sure. I only disagree because I think he is the best Bond ever. About the gadgets, I don´t really miss them. They were making Bond sort of ridiculous and not believable.

makes a nice change on these gossip websites :-)

Hi ELH, yup, if only we could have civil disagreements (I´ve just had one really nasty at another gossip site). And I find Daniel Craig very attractive, although I´d rather do "unprintable" things with Mads Mikkelsen (the villain, Le Chiffre). By the way, it drives me crazy too when I can´t see my comments posted.

ELH (not verified)ELH (not verified) said:

@ Eve - exactly. There is a thread about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over on "A Socialites Life"and people are getting really personal and over the top.

Its completely uneccessary!!!

As for your love for Le Chiffre, you can keep him, he freaks me out. I think its the blood trickling from his eye. Lol.

@ELH

Thanks, I am going to keep it really LOL. A friend of mine says the exact same thing (that Le Chiffre freaks him out) when he sees me drooling over Mads Mikkselsen´s pictures.

I love that guy (the actor and the character). I thought it was the best Bond´s villain since he is not willing to rule the world, he just wants to make money. But finding films with him here where I live is a living hell.

Anyway, greetings.

P.S.: The nasty disagreement I had was on Popsugar.

P.S2.: I try not to post when the subject is Angelina/Brad because I know there is a lot of passion going on when it comes to the whole thing (cheating, separation, divorce, kids...). People tend to see Angelina as a homewrecker monster and although I am not a fan of her, I think it is a way too much to blame only her.

ELH (not verified)ELH (not verified) said:

@ Eve - Personally I all think they need to get out more. Lol!!

I see where they are coming from with Angelina, she has a history of that, however, it takes two to tango as far as I am concerned.

I just wish people would let it go now. I think if they owned up to their mistakes it would get dropped. I do feel sorry for Aniston though. She must hate that its constantly dragged up and people pity her!!!
