Donald Trump To Replace Simon Cowell On American Idol

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Simon Cowell just handed American Idol a death sentence. When asked whether or not he is returning for next season, Simon said:

"I'll have done 10 series and your time's up. It's time then to do something new. I think it's time to bring in new people... Ten years is a long time."

When asked who he wants to replace him... he said:

"Donald Trump"

Is that what Donald meant when he said he was working on a major network show. Will you watch the show if this ends up to be true? Doesn't Simon basically make the show? Can't we replace Randy instead?

I watched the interview, and he was clearly joking in his answer. He also answered that his gf should replace him as his gf interviewed him.

lolll the ending of ur post is funny.. i also think they should replace randy iffff anything but im a fan of the show and still watch it and hopefully simon stays cause hes the only level headed judge...............

on another note... i hope blake wins!! and pleaseeee dont post who the winner is before the west coast sees it cause i hate when that happens :/

I think Simon himself is seeing the end to American Idol - I have watched it from the very beginning with Kelly but this year was very different. The show is no longer about singing but popularity. The whole Sanjaya mess was ridiculous. I am not planning on watching it next year because of that. I thought it was a real let down that the producers allowed that to happen. I plan to watch tonight to see who wins and that will be the end of American Idol for me. However, if Trump takes over the show will be over for sure. I have always watched the apprentience but this year it was HORRIBLE! I think that this may be a sign that it is time to go back to sitcoms.....I miss them.
