Isaiah Washington told Larry King that he wished he'd use the N-word instead of the F-word during his on-set argument with Patrick Dempsey. If he could do it all over again, he would have chosen his words differently because in the end, that is how he felt. The Showbuzz has more:
"(Dempsey) became unhinged, face to face, spittle in my face. I'm asking him 'why are you sceaming at me?' He became irate. By that time I pushed him out of my face and I began to say 'there's no way you're going treat me like a 'b word,' a 'p word,' or a 'f word' in front of this crew." Asked by King to explain what three words he meant, Washington said "a four-legged dog" (most likely he meant to say "female" dog); a "punk"; and the anti-gay slur beginning with "f" which he said he used to mean "someone who is being weak, someone who is not treated with respect" rather than a homosexual. Washington thinks the situation would have been different if he had used the "n-word" instead. "I wish I had said 'You're not going to treat me like an 'n-word' because that's how I felt," he said.

He DID not do everything ABC told him to do until after he had used the word TWICE. If he had kept his mouth shut and done the right thing he would still have a job. He has a history of problems with co-workers and I say GOOD RIDDANCE!
Vera, you are too funny!
He needs to take responsibility for what came out of his mouth and stop crying about all this. Why do celebs have to play the blame game all the time?
Personal responsibility seems to be completely lost on the Hollywood folk.
He has every right to defend himself. ABC told him what he had to do and he did it. They fired him anyhow.

Great sense of humour Vera!
