Let’s Talk About Crocs

Jennifer Garner was photographed with Violet in Brentwood going to the grocery story. Violet is wearing a green pair of crocs. My husband JUST mentioned to me that we should get Natalie a pair because the sandals she owns gives her blisters. How are these shoes? I am so sick of putting my daughter in sneakers and am looking for an alternative. Click on the thumbnails below to see more.

My 4 year old has a pair and they are very comfortable; durable like sneakers where they can run around and play; easy to get on (and off) and they pretty much go with anything (he has the Red Disney CROCS). You cannot go wrong with these shoes for kids. He wears his CROCS more than he does his sandals and almost as much as he does his sneakers.

  2. kim says:

They are aweful looking shoes, but they are wonderful for kids. My 3 year old and 1 year old both have a pair and it is so nice to tell them to go get their crocs on and my 3 year old puts his on by himself and helps his little sister as well.

  3. amsterdam says:

They are the most ugly shoes in the world on adults. Kids get away with it. In my county they were most used by nurses. In other words, people who have to stand on their feet all day. And they are amazingly comfortable. I think the nicest for girls are the mary janes. I own a pair also, just because they are so comfy.

  4. Marieke says:

Crocs are cute for kids! but adults in crocs make me wanna puke

  5. Carla says:

My ! year old would not wear shoes until I got him a pair of Crocs. Now before we leave he will hand them to me to put on him.

  6. m says:

haha – I guess I just have to say ditto! Crocs are super comfy, most of the kids I know refuse to wear anything else, and are NOT cute on adults! Plus, it makes getting them on/off super easy for a toddler.

  7. Renee says:

CROCS ARE SO COMFORTABLE. MY BOSSES WIFE PUTS ALL OF HER BOYS IN THEM. THEY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE WALKING ON AIR. YOU CAN WEAR THEM FOR HOURS, DAYS EVEN.

  8. Anonymous says:

they are the best shoes ever made. i have multiple pairs. (they look cuter on kids)…but nevertheless COMFY on anyone! GET THEM

  9. Anonymous says:

They are a must have! all our kids (18 months, 4 and 12) have a pair as well as the adults. they are great for the pool and running in the sprinklers. super easy to clean and very comfy!!

  10. Anonymous says:

My daughter has the exact same pair and loves them! I want to let it be known though, that there are tonnes of other styles aside from the clog type. I have a pair with 2 straps (similar to a birkenstock) and I love them!

  11. rachelle says:

one more cute thing..my girl friends 2 year old asks for her crocs to be out on her pillow at night for bed if not it will be you know what for bed time so they wash up easly in the dishwasher…lol
    k bye rachelle

  12. renattav@yahoo.com says:

Crocs are not exactly breathable. My son loves his but since his feet are sweaty I always put socks and go back and forth with a pair of TEVA like sandals that light up.

  13. Harper says:

They have been a staple for my son since 2004. Every summer he wears out at least one pair. They are perfect beacuse I can toss them in the washing machine and they are good to go. Never had the first blister either – we also live near a beach and he can use them a s water shoes (katrina debris in water here posses the threat).

  14. Kathleen says:

Who CARES what they look like!! They are so comfy on the feet!! I own 3 pairs–and yes, I am an ADULT who wears CROCS! My feet thank me for it!

  15. Eva says:

I have never tried them on but I must say that they are hideous. I saw them on a grown man and it just looked wrong.

  16. Kaydey says:

i think they are sooo ugly on adults… but i wear them 2 work in the summer. we have to wear closed toe shoes and being a day care worker, im always on my feet and we swim everyday. so its easy to just slip them on and off.

ive just recently seen the ones she has on and i think those are SO cute on little kids.

  17. Morgan says:

My kids each have 2 pairs. I love them! They hose right off when they get dirty. ROCK ON!

  18. Sarah says:

SO COMFY!! I love them for work.

  19. soko says:

my husband is a chef and hes been wearing them in the kitchen for years now but with socks on.. he wears crocs the good brand i guess.. but ive heard of some people who wear the cheap knock offs and they hurt their feet supposidly.. i wouldnt know myself because i think crocs are hideous so i dont own any.. but why not give it a try

  20. Maggie says:

Crocs smell; they seem to absorb nasty foot smell much more than other shoes. And although it is convenient for kids to slip them off, it is also easy for them to slip off.

  21. cathy says:

I work in a shoe store (no shoe jokes please)
and our crocs just fly off the shelf kids and adults
but i for one think they are no flattering looking on adults but when you have little kids ones they look so cute. No one in my family owns a pair but my daughter. she is 2 and she has a few colors.
but they still do give blisters some times.
my daughter has one right now but the thing is she wore them for a while before she got the blister. maybe it is a sweating thing. I dont know
    but she still wears them

    kids cute
    adults no way

  22. Sumi says:

Fabulous>>>>>COMFORTABLE and EASY TO CLEAN (just throw in washer with load of towels, when they come out .. ready to wear .. no drying time … My grand kids LOVE them .. and so do I ..

  23. Angela says:

My daughter is 8 going on 23…she LOVES hers and has many colors. Easy to clean, waterproof and very, very comfie! Get her some!

  24. Jennifer says:

Crocs rock! I should know I am a teacher and on my feet all day. I have converted both my kids and my 66 year old mother. They are sooo comfortable and are lightweight. They can be cleaned very easily with water and a little bit of bleach. Also they have a million styles. Go to the website http://www.crocs.com and see!

  25. mimi says:

Crocs are banned in a few norwegian hospitals. People wearing crocs made machines like incubators collapse. So be sure to wear the shoes in safe places.

  26. Lindsey says:

My 3 year old daughter LOVES her crocs!! They are easy to put on and take off. She even wears them with socks in the winter! She truly wears them everyday! Invest in several colors!

  27. JohnNyboy says:

Ridiculous comment from EVA. Crocs don’t look to bad on and they are so comfy it’s untrue. You never need to wear socks. Fashionistas make me sick…..who cares what they look like anyway!

  28. Nickie says:

Crocs are wonderful! They are so comfortable, and easy to put on and take off.

  29. Tasha says:

My son just loves them! Its hard to get him to wear anything else. They are super comfy, easy to put on and even easier to clean. Way less hastle then trying to get sneakers or sandals on him most days :)

  30. Jenna says:

They are the most comfortable thing you will ever wear in your life…. as a nurse, I can stand on my feet all day in these and have no problems at all – could NEVER do that with any other shoes. All 3 of my kids wear them too :-)

  31. Pipoka says:

    they are very comfortable.

here in portugal they are used by people who works in hospitals, that have to spend the day walking around (like my case)

they are very light (not heavy)

  32. Nicole says:

I personally think they are HIDEOUS. That being said, they are good for the feet. LOL. My sister works for a pediatrician and he highly recommends them. They mold to your feet and offer great back support. I bought myself the flip flop version and fell in love. I found they make other styles (eg. scutes) that are more attractive so I will be purchasing my twins a pair each as an alternative to sneakers and regular sandals. See all the styles at their website. The Mary Janes are ADORABLE! and no, I am not a sales rep, LOL.

  33. alagirl says:

the mary jane ones (like Violet has on) are so cute and they are very comfy!

  34. Cheryl says:

Hideous on adults perhaps, but the most comfortable thing you will ever put on your feet – not to mention no animals died for leather.

  35. Danna says:

I have 6 year old twins who both have 2 pair and have had since they came out. We live in Fla and it rains whenever it pleases unannounced and these shoes are GREAT! They wear them to the beach, in the water, mudpuddles, school, all over. We have a crazy color for fun days and then navy/tan for khaki shorts etc. BUT YES, BUY THEM!!!! I have the army green mary janes, they are too comfy!

  36. Kate says:

Crocs are fabulous for little kids! Both my 4 year old and 2 year old have them and wear them ALL the time! I think the Mary Jane style that Vioet is wearing is super cute too. I would definitely invest in a pair, they are totally worth it!

  37. Stacy says:

I just bought my first pair this weekend. I have the Mary Janes and they are so cute on. I love them, and I have refused to take them off. I wear them with everything, including my Theory suit, which I wore to work today. Screw heels …its hot pink Crocs all the way!!!!

  38. LaTonya says:

    they look better on kids.
but im about to fall into the trend.
    i want a pair now!

  39. Christine says:

that laughing pic of Violet is adorable!

  40. Sandra says:

Here in the Netherlands a lot of people wear them! Both my sons, 6 and almost 3 years wear them too! They are perfect for children. Playing in the sand or water no problem, and very easy to clean!
I love them on my boys! Not on adults……:-)

ps my boys wear the kids cayman crocs and kids disney cayman.

  41. Alex says:

In one of the malls in my country, there were 2 kids whose Crocs straps got stuck in the escalator (where the escalator steps go in, yknow?), and their feet were almost stuck in the escalator too. Good thing the maintenance people were able to stop the escalator before the kids were injured

  42. Emmie says:

I love my Crocs – and I am an adult. I decorate mine up with Jibbitz and change them often. My husband can’t wear ‘em because they blister his feet, poor guy!

  43. Passerby says:

my nephew wears braces, and my siser(his mom)bought him a pair of crocs….they fit nicely over his braces.

  44. Passerby says:

I think that Crocs on little kids are cute.. but my kids only wear them in the yard. A 5 year old friend lost two toes last summer as a result of his crocs getting caught in a mall escalator. If you are going to wear them… wear them for what they were intended.
