Pregnant Woman At The Farmer's Market
Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber were photographed at their local farmer's market over the weekend picking up some fresh veggies and getting some sun. Well, Liev was getting some sun. Naomi kept covered up with a straw hat and over-sized scarf. Click on the thumbnails below to see more.
Here are some shots of Naomi out in a striped shirt. I went to Target over the weekend in a striped shirt and actually overheard someone mentioning how the stripes were making my belly look bigger and what a fashion mistake it was for me to choose it. I thought to myself, "HELLO! I'm pregnant! Who cares if I am wearing stripes!"
I was with my mother and daughter. If you are a reader of this blog, you know my mother is a "What Not To Wear" FREAK. So I got lectured for ten minutes about how women shouldn't wear stripes etc. I wanted to DIE! I mean, don't people know pregnant women are officially on a preggo pass?! :)

I forgot to mention that when I had my kids over 18 years ago, the only maternity fashion available (and I use the word fashion loosely) were muumuu style tops and dresses with lots of ruffles. Most, if not all, pregnant women were unfortunate looking based on that alone. Today, fashion embraces the pregnant physique and maternity clothes is anything but dowdy. So, really, why the pass?
OK - the whole "thin is in" thing has officially gone too far when a pregnant woman is criticized for looking too, uh, pregnant.
P.S. I also think we should create more passes - not JUST preggo pass. There should be post-surgery pass, depression pass, I-Just-Lost-My-Job and/or My Man-pass...
Who cares what they think!! I think prgnancy is a brilliant time to make your belly look bigger!! Celebrate that huge bump, I know I am loving mine and showing it off in stripes too!!!!
