Despite yesterday’s reports that Madonna was facing complications during David’s adoption process, her rep is saying otherwise. Everything is going according to plan.
On Saturday (04Aug07) the director of Malawi’s child welfare services, Penston Kilembe, said financial and administrative difficulties had prevented him travelling to London in May (07) to determine whether Banda can be officially adopted by Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie.
Kilembe added that the adoption process may now “crumble”, 10 months after the couple brought the child back to the U.K. from a Malawian orphanage last October (06). But Madonna’s spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg says, “The information regarding the adoption that was reported is simply not accurate. “The adoption process is going along very well and according to proper procedure.”
