Worst Celebrity Tans

Teen AOL is at it again. Why I visited that site this morning is just beyond me. It's like a car accident. You just want to see what's doing. They complied a list of the worst celebrity fake bakes. Our favorites like Ashley Olsen, Jessica Simpson, and Christina Aguilera made the list. Our not so favorites like Paris Hilton and Brooke Hogan are on there too.
I wish they would come out with a good fake tanner. I turn out like these ladies no matter what product I use. I've even tried the Mystic tan - no good. Anyone have some great recommendations?

you can find a ton of tips on www.famesters.com in the beauty lounge. There is a topic all about sunless tanners

Sorry Sephora - go to their website

Try St. Tropez. It gives you a darker tan, with out the orange tint. They even offer a self tanner remover, so no tinted palms.

Mystic tan never gives me a good look... especially when your in the sun, you see all the flaws.

My favorite is the Loreal Sublime gradual self tanner. I use it everytime i get out the shower. And the key is mixing it with a lotion from bath and body works or victorias secret- that way its more blanced, not harsh and you dont smell like maple syrup. i have a very nice tan from it.

Actually by adding it to a victoria secret lotion or a bath and body work lotion is actually cutting down the chemical bronzers in your self tanner, any mineral oil/most alcohols ( which both of those contain great amount of ) actually break down cosmetic bronzers. <3

Hey ladies... your stupid fake tans are pathetic. Natural and just a little natural sun is more beautiful than anything from a bottle.

Honestly, looking like a baked pig it just freaking gross.

I lose interest in a woman as soon as I notice un-natural skin. Real is in.

You've clearly never seen some of us in the winter. Like, for example, *my* anemic pasty white sad face. It's like all the pigment ran away - to the Bahamas, perhaps. Sigh. I miss tanning beds.

It always cracks me up when the Y chromosome says they want us to look more natural - but the first time they do, you can see it in their freaked out eyes, "Put the pretty color back!! PUT IT BACK!"

LOL.

HA. If you saw me naked when I dont have some tanner on you would go BLIND because my Irish, pasty white flesh requires sunglasses to look at.

yeah, well, "iditos" -- you're cute and let us know if you feel the same way after a bout of skin cancer ... talk about stupid lol

yeah talk about stupid, u cant even spell idiot right lmao!
i love mystic tan bcuz u get no uv ray damage and the color always ends up flawless on me. the downside: its $25 at hollywood tan for 1 application; no discount with membership. sucks. i always go in with a bikini on so i have the bikini tan lines--men are such suckers for that haha and not to mention it looks even more natural, giving off the illusion that youve went to the beach =) good luck ladies! and gents
xoxo

Aveeno makes absolutely the BEST gradual tan lotion ever. It goes on smooth and smells wonderful, and within 1-2 days you have a natural, sun kissed look. Its fantastic...

Try getting an airbrush tan. This summer I have become addicted to getting it done at the salon. I too tried mystic tan and felt it looked unnatural and sometimes streaky. With airbrushing, they put just enough on to look natural and no streaks!! I love it!

misha from philly misha from philly said:

airbrushing huh? ive only seen them do that on tv.. anybody have any idea how much it costs to get airbrushed and how long it lasts?

sorry, that was "skin firming bronzing moisturizer"

How about you actually be nice to your skin and accept that pale skin is healthy skin and slather on the sunscreen.

Allie Hampton Allie Hampton said:

That is just not true. ("Pale skin is healthy skin" - BTW, everyone here is talking about self-tanner, not baking whilst covered in Crisco) I have been terribly anemic for years now and scare myself in the mirror. And think of how pale some of us look when we have the flu!

Point #2. Or 3. Whatever :-) Going outside for 10-15 minutes a day is the only way to really absorb vitamin D. Palness looks good on Nicole Kidman and Dita Von Teese... and ....

.....

uhhh....

i'll surely come up with it eventually!

Kel Bel Kel Bel said:

Most of them on that list look ridiculous. I like a nice glow not a damn fluro look.

Kel Bel Kel Bel said:

Oh yeah and as for a little tip on self tanners add a little self tanner to your daily moisturiser, then the colour will gradually build up :) much less harsh looking.

i have very pale freckly skin and i only tan after 3 long weeks at the beach, but i am very careful and i use loads of sunscreen, especially on my face.
i´ve never used a self tanner nor mystic tan, but i might give them a try sometime- i prefer a more natural look,..christina, brooke hogan and tara reid look completely orange-

ashley looks fine...brooke on the other hand has and will always be fug

misha from philly misha from philly said:

i think brooke looks hot. everyone is different and has different ideals of whats sexy, but in my opinion, i think the fake tan look is hot. its kinda like the fake boobs. u know its fake, but dang, is it hot!

StormyBliss StormyBliss said:

Now Brooke Hogan looks trashy but come on, a tan makes everything look better!

All skins are different that is why some fake tan that looks great on your girl friend might look really bad on you, and vice versa. I am afraid some experimenting is necessary, but the best tip I can think of is - use self tanners that build up the color gradually that way you can control the color and leave the deep tan colors to obviously fake world which is Hollywood.

I have done Mystic Tan but felt like I was in a gas chamber and if you don't know what you are doing or move at the wrong time you can get some pretty interesting results. I prefer an airbrush or spray tan that someone actually applies so they can get in all the nooks and crannies!! I love St. Tropez and SUN Labs spray tans and their at home products, among others. If you guys have any questions about how to apply or need tips and tricks - check out my website - www.selftanningqueen.com It's all in good fun but has some great pointers!!
