Mel B Stands By Her Man

No way Melanie Brown's husband will lay a finger on her. In a recent Hello Magazine interview, she says that all the reports of an abusive side are just plain wrong. Stephen Belafonte is a kind soul and is wonderful with her daughter.
"Everything I stand for is about being a strong, independent woman, so for him to be seen as a wife beater is devastating for me because he's not - he never has been."They're trying to make him out to be this aggressive, violent, woman batterer and he's not. If you read those police reports, they never say he physically beat up a woman."
She adds: "The only thing I don't like is that my friends and family read this and go into shock-horror mode, thinking, 'Oh, she's married a psychopath!'."

In other news, doesn't she look great on the cover of Hello?

LOL - Stephen Belafonte is "Stephen Stansbury" from Pt. Pleasant, NJ I grew up with him - his father is NOT Harry Belafonte, although his dad is black... his mom is NOT some relatively famous woman, although she is white. His family is now in Tennessee - they are regular people.. I love that everyone believes all the crap they read!
