Nicole Richie Wants A Natural Birth

Nicole Richie is going to attempt to give birth to her child without any help from anesthesia. Star Magazine is reporting that she doesn't even want to "take an aspirin to ease the pain of labor". A man must have written this story because what the HECK is an aspirin going to do for you anyway?!
The reformed celebutante "has been adamant about not putting any sort of drug or chemical into her body since she learned she was pregnant," a friend tells Star. "Nicole has made her mistakes in the past, but she doesn't want her child to suffer because of them." The 25-year-old star sought help immediately after learning that she was having Joel Madden's baby. In May she became a rehab out patient at the Beau Monde treatment center in California. Now she appears to have own the battle against her drug demons and is determined not to do anything that could compromise her wholesome new drug-free lifestyle. "She's hoping to go through childbirth without an epidural or any other painkillers," says the friend. "She feels if she can get through that without drugs, she can get through anything."

There is one thing that Nicole can't give up though and that's diet soda. I tried my hardest to following that long list of things to avoid. But somehow goat cheese, fried foods and caffeine kept on making their way into my mouth. :)

Investigative Aspartame report never shown beyond the local FOX network affiliate that produced it in Washington DC. Do your family and friends a favor and pass this on.

why do all celebrity women seem to get c-sections??

Back in the day, "natural vaginal birth" meant having a baby vaginally with no kind of analgesics or anesthetic. Now a natrual birth is considered any baby born "vaginally." Though I understand that some women have no-pain or low-pain tolerance, I can't imagine why young girls and women consider the concept of a vaginal birth "wrong" or "scary." Where are they getting this idea? Women have been birthing naturally since the birth of mankind. C-sections are typically planned for medical reasons that may harm mother, baby or both. Also, c-sections are typically used as a last resort if mother has not dilated with augmentation (failure to progress) or baby has not descended into the birthing canal due to malposition. You can have a pain-free labor with an epidural. There is no need to jump into a c-section because it's more convenient. And for those girls that think vaginal birth will "stretch" your vagina or loosen it up...well that's the most absurd thing I've ever heard.
