Owen Wilson Out Of Comedy

In order for Owen Wilson to get the time he needs to get well, he has opted out of "Tropic Thunder," an ensemble comedy in which Owen had a supporting role. I think this is the right move. He doesn't need anymore stress right now.
The DreamWorks production, headlined by Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr., concerns a group of actors who find themselves in the middle of a war. The film is in its sixth week of production under Ben Stiller's direction, sources said, and Wilson had not begun shooting his part.
Us Weekly is reporting that Owen visited a church three days before his suicide attempt.
A depressed Wilson visited St. Monica church in his neighborhood on August 23, out of either devotion or desperation. Three days later, actor Luke Wilson, 35, found his brother in his Santa Monica, California, home with his left wrist slashed, having ingested a quantity of pills.
I don't know why everyone keeps bringing up Kate Hudson. Are they implying that he tried to kill himself because she's moved on with Dax Shepard?

No, what I read in some other places was that one of the reasons she left him was because he has a drug abbuse problem. This of course came from "sources close to" so...
I think the story is that one of the reasons she left was because he uses drugs and that the drug problem was what ultimately led him to the attempt on his life.
Kate Hudson is not even worth it.
I hope he gets well. My late brother attempted suicide when we were teenagers (he died later in life). It haunts me, because you think all is well, yet the same person you share a room with, is so unhappy, that they attempt to kill themselves.
People say how can he do this since he is rich and famous? Money, fame, all the trappings of life, does not mean you can escape yourself. Ultimately, we are all alone (by ourselves) and if you cannot reconcile life with yourself, eventually, all the distractions will fade and you have to face reality by yourself.
These tabloids are way out of line putting his story on the cover like that. It could very well cause him to make another attempt to take his life.

I think the tabloids are out of line with the Kate Hudson thing too. Even if drugs are the reason they broke up, its certainly not her fault he tried to take his life.
I was tickled pink when heard Owen tried to kill himself.
Of course Kate Hudson has something to do with it... The power of a woman.. Are you all men or something?
I adore Owen Wilson and I hope he gets and stays well and enjoys peace, happiness and fullfillment for a very, very long time!!
