Salma Hayek Won't Become A Stay At Home Mom

Salma Hayek is due to give birth to her first child with partner Francois-Henri Pinault any time now. But despite impending motherhood, Hayek plans to keep herself busy professionally by working on new projects with her Ventanarosa Productions business partner Jose Tamez.
"I'm going to stay (in the U.S.) and run this company. I could just say I will give it all up and be a housewife in Paris. But I said, 'No.' I was so lucky because I found myself a man who is a great businessman. And he loves it that I work this hard. He has a lot of respect for what I do."

Who really thought she would stop working anyway? That just isn't the Hollywood standard.

I agree with everyone else - a mom is a mom is a mom, whether she works full time outside the home or inside the home and nobody should judge them about that.

Selma looks great.

I was a SAHM for 1 1/2 years and loved every minute of it. I was so sad when we ran out of money! But, now I work a really flexible job and try to make the most of it. But, there are nights when I feel like all I do is feed, bathe and put my kid to bed.

Its so silly when celem mothers-to-be announce that they are going to continue to work after they have their kids. I would to if could afford to work as little or as much as I wanted, hire a full-time nanny, take my kid to work with me and vacation for weeks on end whenever the mood struck!
