Wearing something too "young" just makes her look a bit silly. If I was her stylist, I would have put her in a solid color - in a classic but sexy style. Plus that dress makes her hips look big.

It looks like she stole the wall hanging from a Benihana, wrapped it around herself a few times and yied it with the belth from her bathrobe.
