Fergie Supports Britney Spears & Lindsay Lohan

Fergie has spoken out in support of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, saying that they are young and they need to get better on their own.

"They're young. I was young when I went through my stuff. Leave them alone. If they want to get better, they're going to get better on their own. If somebody is going to change, they have to want to do it themselves," she says. "I think it is really unfair to them when they are trying to get help. We're all watching as a nation and commenting day by day on their rehabilitation. It's not fair. You're supposed to have a sanctuary, a place where you can go and not be pressured every day."

I think there are two sides to this. Being in the spotlight and having everyone follow your every move is of course difficult. But then again, they also have a lot of support from fans and peers and more resources than any other average person to get the help they need. What do you guys think? Are celebrities at a disadvantage or advantage?

#13 has it right on the mark. IF these young stars are trying to get help, doing it in Hollywood while going out everyday shopping and clubbing isnt the way to be doing it. They can afford the best in rehabs so why not take 2 months off ( for christsake its not like they are doing anything productive with their lives anyway ) and get the help they really need...in private which is whats needed.

Every now and then I will think about the money these people are paid..and for what?? Its time for the population to stop putting these people on pedastels and bring them back down to the level they should be at.

They have way more advantages. And if they really wanted the time to themselves, they would stay out of the spot light, and not set up photo ops by "chance"
