Why ALWAYS? You must be joking. If I had to stereotype the kind of kid that WHITE people seem to always adopt it's asian babies.

Yeah there are kids here that need to be adopted. Kids in foster homes. I was a foster kid. But I plan to adopt an African child (I am black by the way and decided to do this before Angelina adopted her kid). After some long hard thought I realized that foster homes suck here, but what's going on over there is worse. A kid over here has a better chance of survival in a foster home than a kid over there. I just read an article about Tanzanian albino children who are prized for their BODY PARTS! NPR and MSN both did excerpts. One reporter talked to a little girl who had an older sister, about 10 years old, who is albino. Robbers broke into their foster home and SAWED OFF the little girls right leg. The girl lived apparently. But they are often killed and dismembered. Children are also raped, their parents are dying of AIDS so there are millions of orphans. In some war torn countries they may starve to death or are brutally murdered by rival tribal factions. I've decided to mentor foster kids in the U.S. but I want to give an African child a safe place to live. So more power to Mary Louise and others who choose to adopt an African child. I don't think anything is wrong with adopting an asian child by the way. There are lots of needy children out there. I chose Africa for the reasons I wrote above.
