Spandex is a privilege, not a right.
It looks kind of like she has a bunion or something on her right foot, causing her toe to curve in. That is what makes the shoes look strange.
She bought the shoes and then had nothing with which to wear them, hence the weird pairing. She threw on whatever black and white stuff she had in the closet. Or drawer, rather.
