Custody Hearing Begins For Britney Spears And The Pirate

Yeah... Kevin Federline arrived in court today with a patch over his eye and sunglasses. Not sure what the deal is with that - but I am sure TMZ will get to the bottom of it soon enough. Today is the day that the 50/50 custody split might get reinstated should the judge feel satisfied with Britney Spears' explanation on why she hasn't been following his rules.

"If the judge accepts Spears's explanation today as to why his orders weren't fulfilled," says veteran family attorney Neal Raymond Hersh, "there's a chance that 50-50 custody will be reinstated - “ but it's a longshot."

Britney is not in attendance. Her lawyer will be doing all the talking. Rumor has it that she is about to admit herself into a rehab center in  Antigua. Yes, that's the same place she spent less than 24 hours in a few months back. And so the circus begins...
