Judge Orders Britney Spears To Be Booked For Hit And Run

Before her next court appearance, Britney Spears must get booked for August's hit and run. You won't hear any push back from her camp. In fact, they have promised to comply within the alloted time frame. In other news, Britney has passed this weekend's random drug test. One step at a time! Looking good Britney... please keep it up.
As far as her children go, she's been visiting and attending counseling as ordered.

We're also told Britney is currently with her children and a parenting coach and all is going fine. She has visitation from morning till early evening. Spears also had similar visitation yesterday and last Saturday, and she has accepted the fact that a parenting coach will be watching and making suggestions.

I am confused, I thought she had already been charged, so what does it mean that she must be "booked" for the same thing? I thought being booked was being charged? I am in the UK so I am probably misunderstanding the US legal system! Also does she or her legal team have any control over whether she is booked for this? In the UK it would be up to the prosecutor to decide whether a charge proceeds, not the accused.
