Because one out of every three women will develop cancer in their lifetime and October is national breast cancer awareness month, I thought you might be interested in "Frosted Pink," which will air this Sunday at 4PM eastern on ABC.
"Frosted Pink" is a dynamic mix of live musical performances, figure skating, and Hollywood celebrities who will, by appearing together on national television, raise awareness of women's cancers and inspire individuals to take action. The lineup includes:
* Musical performances by Rascal Flatts, Joss Stone, Natalie Cole, Anastacia (breast cancer survivor), Babyface, and Heart;
* Figure skating routines by Katarina Witt, Kristi Yamaguchi, Oksana Baiul, and more;
* Celebrity appearances by Sharon Osbourne (colon cancer survivor), Eva La Rue, William Baldwin, and more.
Four of America's leading cancer advocacy organizations have aligned with "Frosted Pink" in an effort to broaden the message to the millions who are affected by cancer: the Gynecological Cancer Foundation, the National Breast Cancer Coalition, the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, and the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.
"Frosted Pink's" message is simple, but impactful: do something. It's a call to action on women's cancers and is meant to encourage individuals to get involved in their communities.
Those interested in learning more about how they can get involved can visit the show's website, www.frostedpink.org, for more information on how to get educated, get empowered, and take action.After airing on ABC, Frosted Pink will re-air on the Style Network Monday, October 22 at 8 pm et/pt, followed by subsequent airings throughout the remainder of the month.
