L.A. County Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, has agreed to Britney’s plea for overnight visitations…sort of…She will be allowed one night away in which the kids have permission to sleep over at her house. But, she still must have a court appointed monitor with her at all times.

TMZ is reporting that Britney left the courthouse visibly upset after testifying. They are also saying that the decision to allow overnight visits was reached as a compromise. Brit wanted all visits to be sleepovers and K-Fed didn’t want to allow any overnights. But the lawyers for both sides eventually agreed to “slightly” increase her visitation rights. In other words K-Fed decided to throw the girl a bone!

They are also reporting that she didn’t do too well on the stand:

We’re told Spears had a back and forth with the Commish that lasted approximately 40 minutes. She constantly interrupted him and at times was extremely sarcastic. At one point she started thanking the judge for what he had done, but her tone was heavily laced with disdain.

And in more court news, People has a few interesting quotes from the involved parties.

Court spokesman Allan Parachini says,

“Ms. Spears did speak (at the hearing) and her voice was soft and respectful.”

Spears’ attorney, Sorrell Trope, says,

“I consider this a very positive sign for my client. I have every expectation that she will comply with all the orders made by the court. I remain absolutely optimistic that she will eventually regain 50-50 custody.”

And Kevin’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan states,

“Kevin has always been willing to jointly parent these children. He felt confident that the conditions (on Spears) satisfied his concerns. Kevin agreed that he would allow additional time to be expanded into the order, provided that the kids (were properly) protected.”

You know, after all this time, I still can not get over the fact that Kevin Federline has turned out to be the responsible parent in this whole situation. It’s a crazy world, I tell ya! But, I’m glad that Britney seems to be slowly getting her act together and that the judge is rewarding her for it. Do you agree with his decision to allow her overnights with her sons?

You might have heard that Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight had a meeting at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel this Sunday. Reports were claiming that the pair had reconciled. Well, Jon’s rep is singing a different tune.

 ”It’s all a mistake. They didn’t see each other all weekend.”

So much for the family reuniting. 

Lauren “LC” Conrad was photographed leaving the NYC club, Butter. She is definitely a party girl but at least we never see photos of her falling down or flashing her unmentionables. I guess LC knows her limits

In other news, is any else really sad that this is probably the last season of The Hills? Since Lauren is retiring from reality TV to work on her clothing line I’m willing to bet that Heidi and Spencer are going to try and get MTV to do a show focusing just on them. Would you watch it?

Britney Spears decided not to show up to court today for her second (missed) custody hearing. Her lawyer argued on her behalf for overnight visits with the children insisting that the 3:00 PM end time was “traumatizing”. The judge thought what was traumatizing was being around someone with “substance abuse issues and emotional issues”. No order has been set as of yet.

At the hearing, Judge Scott Gordon did not make a ruling on Spears’ request for overnight visitation with sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. Instead, Gordon told Spears’ attorney, Anne Kiley, that he didn’t consider this an emergency. “Your client (Britney) made a conscious choice not to do anything that was ordered,” Gordon said. That was a choice. That put us in this position.”
Kiley disagreed with the judge, arguing, “I do think it is an emergency for a 2 and 1-year-old to be with their mother. I feel it warrants overnights. For a 1 and 2 year old it is developmentally and psychologically traumatizing to have their routine disrupted. They need a normal routine at home. Right now, visitation ends at 3 and at that point they are taking naps and are then woken up from their naps.”

Gordon countered, “I think you are right. These are important times. But at the same time this is a person who is dealing with challenges. And the challenges are substance abuse issues and emotional issues that could have devastating effects on the children.”

So what has Britney been doing to pass the time you ask? Target. Getting coffee. Eating lunch with a friend. Shopping. And giving the paps an upskirt shot which I won’t post. No, she didn’t have panties on… again.
