Keira Knightley On The Set of “The Duchess”

Here’s Keira Knightley on the set of her new movie, “The Duchess” which is being filmed in London. I wanted to know more about the movie so I IMDb’d it and this is what it had to say, “A chronicle of the life of 18th century aristocrat Georgiana, duchess of Devonshire, an ancestor of Princess Diana who was alternately celebrated and reviled for her extravagant political and personal lives.” She seems to always get thrown into period films.Click on the thumbnails below to enlarge the pictures and check out Keira’s dress.

Period films probably have more interesting roles for female actresses without them getting into really small independent films. Something to play besides the love interest or the druggie or . . someone three-dimensional, anyway.

I think its the fact the she has a british accent, is young, and has the face that seems fitting for that time period.
