Suri's Diet Consists Of Barley Water, Milk And Corn Syrup

Us Weekly is digging around Tom Cruise's religion to help us all learn a little more about Scientology. Here are a few new finds about how baby Suri (presumably) is getting raised.

  • Us Weekly has learned that while Suri -- who as a baby was fed a mixture of barley water, milk and corn syrup which Hubbard advocated instead of formula and breast milk.

  • She  is too young to take classes.

  • Her two nannies are also Scientologist.

  • "Tom doesn't like associating with people who aren't Scientologists," says an insider.

  • Suri doesn't live by too many rules -- "Suri pretty much does whatever she wants, whenever she wants. If she fusses before bed, they let her stay up later. If they want her to go swimming and she cries, they'll take her out. If she whines about food, they'll ask her what else she wants to eat. They always want to please her."

How the heck nutritious can that combo be for an infant? that has got to be one of the worst things I have heard.
As for all the other stuff...has the making to be another Hollywood brat with a sense of entitlement.

Well, what type of milk is it? Maybe it is healthy milk. Maybe barley water is healthy, and maybe corn syrup has some healthy affects. I am not a nutristionist so I would not know. I think Tom is crazy, yes, but I think most parents do tend to give in to their first born.

My mom always gave me barley water when my throat was sore. Not the barley in American supermarkets though; a different kind from the Chinese store. but it tasted nasty so we always sweeted with chunks of brown sugar bars.

After reading that which is posted, it is quite clear that People aren't even really listening... LRon Hubbard may have had some strange ideas but it doesn't even say he was against breast feeding... it specifically says " IF a mother is not breast feeding" this mixture is superior to hospital and mass produced formulas...

uhh i Read a recipe for this "milk" on that link that was posted above by somebody and it says you may use honey insteead like the romans.. HONEY IS POISONOUS TO INFANTS!!!!
clostridium botulinum which is in honey can kill an infant within 24 hours. this whole milk barley water and corn syrup just grosses me out and it grosses me out even more that someone would suggest honey instead. shows how little these scientologists know.

Milk from other animals is bad for babies (especially cowsmilk) and so is corn syrup.

The scripture itself seems to say use this for the first week if not breastfeeding.

Wonder how breastfeeding became taboo and this "formula" is fed to babies for so long.
