Jennifer Lopez graces the cover of next month’s Allure Magazine. Her new album Brave has just come out and J-Lo isn’t staying in hiding any longer. She spoke with Allure about some of the challenges facing her in this new stage in her life:
On how the rumor mill affects her family:
“They hated it because they didn’t know what to believe. They feel like there were too many lies about you, and they know you really well. They feel like they constantly have to defend you. It’s not good, you know?”
On a manager she fired because he told her to lose weight:
“He was an idiot,” she says. “Anybody who could be so stupid as to say, ‘You have to fit into this mold, or you can’t make it,’ is really shortsighted.”
