So you might have noticed something different about the website today. I am promoting John Cusack’s new movie, Martian Child. Watch the trailer and tell me what you think. I got a little teary eyed at the end. Looks like it might be a good one.

Crushed by the death of his fiancée, a writer (Cusack) adopts a 6-year-old boy in an effort to create a family. The boy, who desperately wants a father, is troubled by the idea that he’s from Mars.

The celebs have just started to arrive for tonight’s MTV Europe Music Awards. The first pictures we have are of Joss Stone and Nicole Scherzinger both working outfits that show some serious leg and Avril Lavigne looking a bit dressier than the last time we saw her on the red carpet at the MTV Latin America Music Awards.

Cameron Diaz was photographed filming a scene for What Happens In Vegas, obviously in Sin City. She looks amazing in white! I’m totally loving her style in these pictures, from the belt, to the dress, right down to the shoes!

Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty are set to do a duet tonight at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the show’s organizers are a bit nervous about it. The two were each booked as solo performances but Pete wanted to share the stage with Amy. Until now the duet had been kept top secret.

‘It’s been a closely-guarded secret and may still fall apart at the last minute,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘This duet could be a blinding success or an unmitigated disaster if they’ve been on the booze or any dodgy substances.’

I hope these two both have it together for the performance tonight! It will be interesting to see what happens.

Life and Style magazine brings us the most current celebrity “must have” items of the season. Right now, leather jackets are hot and so are big bold colored purses that are versatile enough to work with a daytime or evening outfit. I’m not going to lie, I love almost every purse shown!

The other day we saw Hayden Panettiere on a trip to save the dolphins (not whales as previously reported) and it looked like things went really well for her over in Japan. But there’s another side to this story obviously. This picture of Hayden all choaked up is a far cry from the happy teenager we saw this morning and the other day. Sky News has the full report,

Panettiere, who is a keen surfer and a committed marine conservationist and supporter of the campaign to save the Japan dolphins, said: “It was really frightening.

“Some of us were hit by the boathook. But in the end all we really worried about was the dolphins.

“It was so incredibly sad. We were so close to them and they were sky hopping, jumping out of the water to see us.”

Breaking down in tears, she added: “One little baby dolphin stuck his head out and kinda looked at me and the thought that it’s no longer with us is really hard to take.”
