Hayden Panettiere's Trip To Save Dolphins Wasn't All Smiles

The other day we saw Hayden Panettiere on a trip to save the dolphins (not whales as previously reported) and it looked like things went really well for her over in Japan. But there's another side to this story obviously. This picture of Hayden all choaked up is a far cry from the happy teenager we saw this morning and the other day. Sky News has the full report,

Panettiere, who is a keen surfer and a committed marine conservationist and supporter of the campaign to save the Japan dolphins, said: "It was really frightening."Some of us were hit by the boathook. But in the end all we really worried about was the dolphins."It was so incredibly sad. We were so close to them and they were sky hopping, jumping out of the water to see us."Breaking down in tears, she added: "One little baby dolphin stuck his head out and kinda looked at me and the thought that it's no longer with us is really hard to take."

There is a video on Youtube with the story, you can see it here. Warning-there is some blood. It's pretty heartbreaking and hard to watch at some points, especially if you're an animal lover.Click on thumbnails to enlarge.

Good for her to care about animals. People have no problem killing cows, deer or chickens but people need to realize that ALL animals deserve humane treatment.
