i think she was only "punk" when she first came out so people could talk about how "different" she was, rather then chat about her lack of talent. she screwed herself and now she has to keep up that image and continually come across as a jackass.
oh and the dress AND shoes are ugly.

Well since you asked lol Its like shes saying look at me, I havent sold out, Im still punk and a rebel. Shes a married woman now its ok to wear a nice pair of shoes with a dress. Its like shes always trying so hard.

personally I love the boots, not liking the dress, but I respect that she wears what she wants to wear and doesnt care what anybody else thinks of it, she doesnt take tips from a stylist like every other celeb out there....
On the contrary, she cares very much about what people think. Hence why she tries so hard with her image, and she does have a stylist. She has spoken about it many times.
She changed her look a lot and also started posing, someone taught her how to pose for photos. Have you noticed? On hand on hip, arms out at sides to make them look slimmer.. Pay attention.
Avril looks great and yes she know how to model if she wants too, she after all was hired by the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency, she has done work for Chanel and she has her own successful clothing line. So yeah I think she pulls of this look just fine, few other could, if you think wearing Doc Martens and a dress is awful, then you are too old to get it.
