We all know that celebrities don’t REALLY believe in products that they promote. I am sure Sarah Jessica Parker goes to a salon to have her hair done and doesn’t rely on a store bought Garnier dye job. But at least there is a slim chance that she does. This one just takes the cake! Nicole Richie has signed up to promote “Swedish inventor Lennart Jarrelbro’s latest creation, dog urinals, to stop the metal on the posts being eroded by the chemicals found in canine waste products”. Read it again if you don’t believe me. Nicole wants to save street lights from rusting. As I said before… a ton of money. Or maybe she just finds the whole thing so funny that she HAD to sign up just so she can say she did. I’m just trying to make sense of it all.
Nicole Richie is lending her name to a bizarre U.S. campaign to save street lights - from the dangers of dog urine. The star, who has two dogs - Foxxy Brown and Honeychild - has signed up to promote Swedish inventor Lennart Jarrelbro’s latest creation, dog urinals, to stop the metal on the posts being eroded by the chemicals found in canine waste products.
She says, “They’re so clever. It’s a cute rubber cup attached to the post and a hose to pipe the urine into the gutter.”
Here she is going to traffic school.

I didn’t post it, but other media outlets have already linked Ne-Yo and Hayden Panettiere together because they happened to be at a party together and were photographed leaving at the same time. Well, Ne-Yo has set the record straight to People.
“Hayden and I just met yesterday. We’ve only known each other for one day. She was hanging out with some friends and invited me to come out. I was helping her out of the car! She had these shoes - they were cute - but they were torture devices, so I had to help her.”
There is also a rumor that Ne-Yo is slated to write some songs for Hayden’s upcoming album. Can you imagine how much coverage this girl is going to get if she does TV and radio? I know some of you will be THRILLED.
UPDATE: Hayden’s look for less can be found at WetSeal. Thanks La Jolie!! Click here for info.

After singing a country version of Irreplaceable on the American Music Awards last week, Beyonce has decided to give that genre a go. She has enlisted the help of singer/songwriter Amanda Ghost - the creative force behind James Blunt hit You’re Beautiful - for the project.
“Beyonce wants to try something completely different. She’s a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it.”
Beyonce and country / western doesn’t really make sense to me. But if anyone can do it, it’s this mega-superstar. I am actually really curious to see how this turns out. Head to head against Jessica Simpson? That would be interesting… Who’s next to convert? Pink?

So this isn’t celebrity related… but I just had to share. Australian inventors are creating a closet that will tell you what to wear, how to match it, and whether or not you’ve worn it before while visiting a particular friend.
Here’s how it works: When hung, clothes embedded with “electronic panels” talk to electronic hangers, which then communicate with the closet computer (it’s a computer trapped inside the body of a closet!). The computer will track what you’ve worn and warn you if you’re about to meet a person for the second time in the same clothes, or suggest what tie matches your shirt.
