Supposedly Britney Spears tried to shoot her next video in under two hours. WHY?!? After the reaction to the Gimme More video, one would think that for the next video she would want to do something, “major,” in the words of Posh. The video is directed by Wayne Isham, who did her video for I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman. According to UsWeekly, here’s the basic concept for the video for Piece Of Me:

“Brit and her dancers enter a club in matching wigs and trench coats in order to sneak Spears in. Once in the club and without her disguise, the pop star is followed by the paparazzi regardless…she will shoot scenes where she dances on a bar and runs down a staircase. There will be 15 extras, as well as a body double for Brit.”

The video was supposedly shot today between the hours of noon and 2pm. Britney couldn’t stay longer because she had a scheduled visitation with her boys. We’ll see if this director Wayne is some kind of miracle worker and could pull a good performance out of Brit in such a short amount of time!

Madonna is causing some problems with animal rights groups. Why do I get the feeling this woman will be causing controversy until the day she dies?

Madonna has outraged animal rights groups by dyeing her pet sheep different colours for a photo shoot. The ‘Hung Up’ singer and her director husband Guy Ritchie have been branded “irresponsible” after colouring their sheep blue, pink, yellow and green for a Vogue spread at their English country estate, in Wiltshire. A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) said: “Why is it necessary and what are they trying to prove? It is an irresponsible publicity stunt.”

Madonna says the dye didn’t harm the animals and it was temporary. But the animal rights groups are still mad. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said,

“We would really question the need to do it. It really does send out the wrong message about how to use animals. Animals used in this sort of publicity stunt can lead to copycats. Even if the dye used in this instance is safe for the animals, other people might copy it with a dye that isn’t safe.”
