Madonna Causes Controversy

Madonna is causing some problems with animal rights groups. Why do I get the feeling this woman will be causing controversy until the day she dies?
Madonna has outraged animal rights groups by dyeing her pet sheep different colours for a photo shoot. The 'Hung Up' singer and her director husband Guy Ritchie have been branded "irresponsible" after colouring their sheep blue, pink, yellow and green for a Vogue spread at their English country estate, in Wiltshire. A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) said: "Why is it necessary and what are they trying to prove? It is an irresponsible publicity stunt."

Madonna says the dye didn't harm the animals and it was temporary. But the animal rights groups are still mad. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said,
"We would really question the need to do it. It really does send out the wrong message about how to use animals. Animals used in this sort of publicity stunt can lead to copycats. Even if the dye used in this instance is safe for the animals, other people might copy it with a dye that isn't safe."

What do you think? Is Madonna setting a bad example or are the animal rights groups making a big deal out of nothing?

Big deal out of nothing. Animal rights groups would be better off focusing on "real" problems.

Madonna is a washed up has been and needs to stir the pot to compete anymore. She is a terrible role model/mother so why take anything she does personal? She probally slaughtered the sheep after the shoot and ate it for dinner.

That sheep belongs to Madonna. It probably has a better life than most of us. These animal rights groups need to focus on something important.

Yes good point Wendy... I am an animal lover but would always keep things in context. I am sure Madonna is a animal lover too. Remember she rides horses and has a farm. Farmers do not mistreat their animals for obvious reasons.

Big deal of nothing. I think it looks very cute in those colours! Finally Madonna thinks of changing other things than herself! LOL ;-)

I think the animal rights activists take things too far a lot of the times...I mean I doubt anyone would dye their sheep because Madonna did it....but why did she have to dye the sheep in the first place? What is wrong with their "natural" white fur for the shoot? It is the color god gave them....

blah blah blah.. peta is annoying. people arent going to dye their pets without looking into it.. they know stuff can harm their pets and if they dont know somethign like that they shoudl have their pets taken away. people over react about this kind of stuff.. they dye was temporary and im sure madonna wouldnt harm any of her pets. i love animals i dotneven like it when people use those choking collars for dogs to "train" them but im not saying "omg that person shouldnt have a pet blah blah"

Peta is stupid. animal rights groups take things wayy to far. She didnt harm these sheep. im more into animal welfare, not animal rights.

I am not a fan of Madonna, but when I saw that sheep I about spit out my coffee. That was the funniest thing I have seen on this website so far! The sheep looked like he was "hamming" it up! Sheep need change too once in awhile.
