Looks like Fall Out Boy band member Joe Trohman felt the need to defend his partner Pete Wentz’s girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson. The NY Daily News wrote the following New York Minute segment blaming Ashlee for their missed Grammy nomination.
Members of Fall Out Boy, who failed to get a Grammy nomination last week, are said to be blaming Pete Wentz’s relationship with Ashlee Simpson. “Grammy voters are fed up with Ashlee after she was caught lip-synching,” a pal tells OK! mag. “Her relationship with Pete has definitely affected public opinion of the band. The guys in FOB are furious – ” they think everything Ashlee touches is poison, and they really want her to stop touching Pete!”
Guitarist Joe, who isn’t the type to respond to gossip, issued the following statement on the band’s blog.
“this just irked me… .. We don’t have any “pals” that gossip to the tabloids over our business. We also don’t blame a certain someone (ASHLEE) for our lack of a Grammy nod. Don’t believe the gossip columns out there. This “poisonous” person that was mentioned is nothing short of awesome, and we fully back her. Everything in Camp FOB is all good.
It’s nice to see that this group is more than just a business venture and are actually real friends.

i dont mind ashlee… i never reli paid much attention to her as her sister is way more famous but since her going out with pete i think she has got more publicity most of the stuff u read in magazines are mostly fake so i dont reli read them i think ppl should get over them going out if u reli cared about pete as people say they do then they would want him to be happy so i think ppl should lay off ashlee
