McDonald's For Christmas

Reports are claiming that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted picking up some Happy Meals on Christmas day. Sounds like fun! My children were so sick that day that we had to skip out of the in-laws after about a half hour. When we got home, I realized I had NO food. So what did we do? Ordered Thai food. Whatever works!!Here's the whole family minus Shiloh attending The Waterhorse in New Orleans. She is too young to enjoy something like this. I've been dying to take my daughter to the movies. How old were your children when you first took them and they sat through an entire show?IMAGES REMOVED

Having spent Christmas hacking and sniffling with my little ones, I vote for getting ANY food in them over the holidays...thai, micky ds, whatever.

My daughter was 3 and we went to see Little Mermaid - she was great for the most part. My son was around 18 months and was an angel. I should mention that he was 2 weeks old for his first movie because I was nursing and I really needed to get out of the house. :-)

I do need to add that Angie can use a few fast food trips to put a little meat on those bones. The shoes on the wrong feet make them seem more real to me somehow. My son is constantly doing that!!!

I took my daughter to the movies at 3 and she slept through the whole thing. I tried it at age 4. That was better--she made it through 1/2 of it. At 5, she was good to go.

my oldest is almost 4, my youngest just made 2...neither have been to the movie theatre...it would be a madhouse!

I took my son to his first movie when he was about two, but I am super lucky and had a pretty quiet kid.

The first one I took him to just for him was when he was three and we saw The Lion King. He loved it.

Ha!! all kids are different...my oldest at 5 can just now sit through a whole film...we tried about once a year starting at 2... My 2nd, however, sat through the Bee Movie and Enchanted a few weeks ago at 3 1/2.

We also realized late in the day that our fridge was empty, so we had christmas dinner at Hooters! HA! The only place open in town, but so good anyway. I agree with Riviera, 4 is a good age to take a child to the movies.

We took our daughter to The Bee Movie last month. She was 17 months old. She was great and made it thru until about the last 10 minutes. I took her for a short walk and went back in and held her at the bottom of the theatre for the last 5 minutes and she was fine. We kept her busy with snacks and treats and no problems. It totally depends on the kid.

We took my son to see The Bee Movie this year and he was just about 2 1/2 years old. He was good as long as there was popcorn to munch on! I think taking your children to the theater is fine, just pick kid friendly movies, and times. We also waited for the movie to be out for awhile so the crowds would be smaller. My husband and I knew we might have to leave at any moment, as not to disturb the other movie goers.
