Britney Spears Locked Herself In A Room With Jayden James To Prevent Hand Off

Britney Spears was placed on lockdown for a mental evaluation Friday after the pop star locked herself in a room with one of her children at her L.A. home and refused to hand him over to ex-husband Kevin Federline.A source tells PEOPLE it was the pop star's court-appointed child monitor who called police. "She had already put Preston in the car when Britney locked herself in a room with Jayden," says the source. "The cops came and got through the door and tied her down to a gurney."Britney is currently under a 72 hour (minimum) lock down for mental evaluation.
The evaluation, known as a "5150 Hold," is, according to the medical code, "When any person, as a result of mental disorder, is a danger to others, or to himself or herself, or gravely disabled." The "mobile crisis team" is able to make this recommendation in writing and take a patient be evaluated and treated.Page Six is reporting that there is a chance Britney could stay under evaluation for 14 days.
"In order to be on a 72-hour hold in the state of California you have to have be an imminent danger to yourself or others." Dr. Halperin tells PageSix.com.So what happens next? At the end of the three days, Britney will be evaluated and if doctors determine that she is no longer a danger to herself or others, she will have the option to voluntarily sign in for more treatment or leave.Halperin says it's possible she'll be placed on a 14-day hold, but that it's difficult to do. "The patient must be severely suicidal or psychotic."Oh those kids...Everyone should really keep those two babies in their minds today. This is all very unstable and damaging. It isn't fair.

if she were really worried about "losing" her kids, you would think she would have shown up to all of her court dates on time, like any other responsible, concerned adult would.

This is so sad, my heart goes out to Britney. She needs her family right now. And those poor babies, this must be so upsetting for them. They need stability.

I feel so bad for her and the kids, she is very naive girl , she is not a shark person, and i think that is why all these things are happening to her . she still thinks like a little girl. god be with her and those two small kids and i am glad k- fed is a responsible dad and is there for them. my prayers are with them.
who do u ppl think u r passing off judgements on anyone. yea shes in the spotlight and still u have no idea who she is and yet u talk about her like u know her personally. so what she has a mental disorder that doesnt mean she doesnt love her babies. i most certainly would hold my children in a locked room keeping anyone including the father away if i were threatned.
