Mumbai Residents Shower Madonna With Rose Petals

Do the people of Mumbai even care about Madonna? Look at the crowd following her as she walked through this Indian town! UNREAL! Here she is photographed walking in the downtown township of Mumbai where it is said residents showered her with rose petals. Unfortunately, Madonna gave no comments to journalists asking why she was in the neighborhood.

Wearing a black jacket, T-shirt and jeans, Madonna spent nearly 5 minutes with residents of the downtown shanty township. She was accompanied by her husband, Guy Ritchie, and Australian author Gregory David Roberts, who made the Mumbai slum his home in the early 1980s. Roberts worked for the city's crime bosses and set up a free health clinic in the slum when he took refuge in Mumbai after escaping from an Australian high-security prison.

Just an FYI for ya :-) Mumbai is the new name for Bombay. Hardly a small town by any means.
