Moms were getting their mace ready I am sure as they watched Britney Spears sitting in her car, smoking cigarettes and talking to herself outside of their children's school. One mother even asked her what she was doing there.

"She was just rambling and confused," says the witness, who approached Spears to ask if she was OK. "She said, "I'm here to pick up my kids.' But then she changed her story and said, "They aren't my kids; I have a new attorney, and I came to pick them up for her.'"
Adds the witness, "All I could think was, Who in their right mind would let her pick up their kids?"

In the end, she left without any kids but try to exchange phone numbers with a mom who she thought was nice.

But before getting into her car and driving off (without any children), she chatted up the female witness: "She said, "You're so nice. You should give me your number. I don't have very many friends.'"

(So sorry for this Brit Brit post. I do want you to know I have decided there really needs to be a story in order for me to write about her. I have read all your complaints about the overexposure of this troubled star. Paris Hilton is no longer a main player on this blog and Britney is due for a downplay as well. But this story was... scary.)
